Stop the residential development of 123-127 Sheen Road
This development might be acceptable if there were no vehicle access to the 9 proposed apartments via the end of Worple Way upon which the alleyway runs from Kings Road. If the development with vehicle access is approved, it will effectively change the nature of the high way, i.e Worple Way turning it into a 24 hour Road whereby we would have to put up with overall increased levels of noise, traffic, deliveries, taxi's etc. At the moment, as an office, the traffic is limited to weekday, from 9-5. The health and safety implications of this are enormous, with children and people generally running through the alleyway at all times of way and the footpath ( which the council legally have to provide) cuts right across the proposed entrance to the block. If the developers have there way, this footpath would no longer be a safe haven for children to cross who are on their way to the playground.
