Currently there are hundreds of students that have been charged obsurd amounts for issues such as marks on walls or uncleaned furniture which is easily correctable.

This petition is an appeal to allow one day a year for former tenants to come into their rooms and have the chance to clean and fix any problems with their flats/rooms in Opal.

I, for example, e-mailed to complain about myself being charged for curtain cleaning. The money was then refunded into my account. This refund is a clear indication that Opal 1 and Touchstone Student Living know that they are charging students for issues which will not be changed or they should not be charged for.

This petition will be forwarded to Touchstone as well as Leeds Beckett University for the protection of former, current and future tenants.
