We, the undersigned, want pediatric care for our children and families. We want transparency and public input, as well as a plan for specialized, unique, community-based pediatric care that is not consigned to another floor or hospital department but has its own staffing, standard and model of care. We do not want our kids to be resigned to medical/surgical staff, for example. We want a specific place just devoted to caring for pediatrics, and we want our voices, as parents and advocates for children, to be invited to this discussion. Our children are our future.
