We ask the Victorian Government to honour its pre-election policy commitment to protect rainforest in Gippsland\'s Strzelecki Ranges and create an 8000 ha reserve to be managed by Trust for Nature. We are concerned that the community was excluded from recent negotiations between your Department and Hancock Victorian Plantations which led to a less than satisfactory agreement which does not meet the undertakings given by the Government or the company.
