We the students and student athletes of Cannon School are hereby petitioning the Board of Directors on behalf of Shawn Powell for Athletic Director. We believe the school and the hiring committee have overlooked the most qualified and most deserving candidate out of the selection pool...the person doing the job today.

For years, Coach Powell has invested in and supported our athletic and academic progress, as well as our well being. He cares for us...which along with his credentials make him the best possible candidate for Cannon School. The time and personal commitment Coach Powell has invested into us, is the most important pedigree he needs.

We believe Coach Powell is the best possible representative for Cannon Athletics and would like to see him given the job he has already earned.
