Final supporters
We, the Undersigned, fully support our Bishop, Kevin C. Rhoades, in his pastoral correction of Fr. John Jenkins, C.S.C., and officials of the University of Notre Dame for bestowing the Laetare Medal to Vice President Joseph Biden. We agree with our Bishop that honoring self-proclaimed Catholic public officials who espouse policies which are in direct contradiction to Church doctrine concerning abortion and unnatural marriage is scandalous, abhorrent and certainly not worthy of being honored by any Catholic institution.
We gratefully recognize this courageous act of our shepherd on behalf of his sheep. We join the Bishop in condemning this scandalous act and urge Notre Dame to honor one of the many worthy Catholics.

im still reading through all the notes people are leaving and its clear that so many of you feel exactly the same way about the integrity of our schools. we want to keep the focus where it belongs and make sure the request for consistency is heard loud and clear.

im honestly stunned at how much momentum this has gathered recently. its clear so many people felt the same way and just needed a place to stand together on this.

I graduated from ND in 1980, my daughter graduated from ND and my son has his Management Certificate from ND's Mendoza School of Business. I applaud Bishop Rhoades for standing up to ND President Jenkins for sending a terrible message to young people everywhere. I have been fighting for the Heart and Soul of Notre Dame ever since I got here in 1976. I am an evangelical Christian who is constantly urging my Alma Mater to be more Catholic. I respect ND's Catholic heritage and am thankful for all those who are working to preserve it.
Stand for something or fall for everything! You cannot in good conscience hail a person who espouses killing innocent lives! Get a backbone and stand tall for Catholicism! Send a strong message--rescind the invitation entirely (or present it only to John Boehner). But, do not insult Our Lord with such knowingly shameful actions.
I and my family have had connections with Notre Dame and many priests there for many many years and we feel that they are as horrified as I am that the University would sink this low
Thank you Bishop Rhoades! Notre Dame has flouted the mandate of Ex Corde Ecclesiae for too long and in too many ways. I am afraid Our Lady's university is in the hands of the infidels. Thank you for setting the record straight on what the Church really teaches!
