The University of Adelaide's Waite campus is in danger of losing one of its brightest stars.

Dr Beth Loveys has been an inspiration to me since I started my education at Waite this year and I know from conversations with many other students, both current and post graduate, that I am not alone in this.

In the short time I have known her I have seen a person who puts the education and well being of her students first and foremost above all else. She strives to create an engaging campus community that encourages participation, collaboration and a culture of inclusiveness that has made me feel proud to be a part of the University of Adelaide.

Why she may have to leave is of no consequence. This is not an attempt to vilify any individual or committee.

This is an attempt to let people know what she means to the student community and what we may lose if the situation stays at it is currently.

As of the end of June this year there is a possibility that we may not have this amazing woman as a mentor, academic benchmark and friend.

So please, if you feel that the University truly would not be the same without her as I do, sign this petition and share to your friends so we can show our support.
