Senate Bill 842 focuses on the integration of trauma-informed practices training for all police officers in the state of Texas. It will ensure that peace officers who work with victims of sexual assault, child abuse or neglect, and/or family violence are not revictimized during the investigation of their cases. The bill, if passed will require officers to undergo this specialized training every four years.
