All of us SCP fans know the iconic SCP-173 as it being the first SCP to exist. But in the current landscape its well known that the idea of 173 was taken from the weeping angels from Doctor Who and original picture was of Izumi Kato's sculpture Untitled 2004. The SCP staff defend 173 because he's the OG but it just shows that they aren't taking this plagiarism seriously. I would take a look at Dr. Cimmerians Video on the matter:
