Cyclists of Northbrook have a vision for a 1-mile trail near Willow Festival in Northbrook, IL. This would connect a total of 5 miles of path for walking, runningand cycling through Northbrook and Glenview in Illinois.The trail, dubbed the Techny River Trail, would run along side the river and parallel Founders Drive to become part of theChicago River Bicycle Trail. This is a natural migratory areas for birds and wildlife and won't be developed as it is a flood plane. The Village of Northbrook and stakeholders have been contacted, but wide community support and interest is needed. Go Green Northbrook volunteers are working to assure that this project is realized.
