His Excellency Mr. Ban Ki-moon
The Secretary-General
The United Nations
New York, NY 10017

We are deeply saddened by your endorsement of the "World Without Terrorism Conference" Organized by President Ahmadinejad’s government, held in Tehran on June 25-26, 2011.

The conference openly defied the United Nations by prominently hosting Sudanese President Al-Bashir, against whom there is an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court on the charge of genocide against the people of Darfur.

Iran has been condemned repeatedly by the UN General Assembly for severely violating the human rights of its own citizens. Iran has been helping the Syrian government in the bloody repression of its own population and internationally known as one of the world’s worst tyrants and human rights abusers.

We expect that His Excellency Secretary General to refrain from this position.

Reference CHAPTER I of United Nations charter, PURPOSES AND PRINCIPLES, Article 1
"1. To maintain international peace and security, and to that end: to take effective collective measures for the prevention and removal of threats to the peace, and for the suppression of acts of aggression or other breaches of the peace, and to bring about by peaceful means, and in conformity with the principles of justice and international law, adjustment or settlement of international disputes or situations which might lead to a breach of the peace; "

Mr. Secretary-General, your endorsement of the "World Without Terrorism Conference" in Tehran Astonished the world; Contradicts the principles of the UN Charter; Demoralized the individuals terrorized by the government of Iran as well as their families and friends and all of us seeking justice.

Yours Sincerely,

Names:
