Tell Albertsons-Safeway corporate management the Guerneville Store is NOT SEASONAL and needs attention NOW.
Final supporters
In our town, Guerneville, California the only choice we have (other than a minimum 90 minute round trip somewhere else) is to shop at the Safeway store.
We hear that corporate management classifies the store as "Seasonal", probably based on our community having a history of being a seasonal, resort based economy.
We need to tell them "Hey! it's 2014 NOT 1970!"
> Guerneville is primarily a bedroom community of Sonoma County, the seasonal aspect is minor.
>Treat our store and our community like you treat the rest of the Safeways in Sonoma County.
>Bring it up to the same standard as the others.
>Show us you care about your investment in our community- Clean it up, change the checker policies,
> Give us a reason to shop at your store, please.

Seasonal?! There are thousands of local residents who depend on this store for their grocery needs. This store has needed more staff for a long long time. The staff are always friendly & helpful but the long check out lines due to insufficient number of clerks is absolutely unacceptable. Albertsons wake up!
If the Guerneville Safeway is classified as "seasonal" does that explain why it is THE MOST expensive Safeway in Sonoma County? Or is it THE MOST expensive Safeway because it is the only grocery store in Guerneville? Either way, it's outrageously expensive compared to other Safeway stores. As a local, I take that personally.
Almost all the 'summer' homes in the Guerneville area are now FULL TIME RESIDENCES. Not so much a summer time destination, but a thriving all year round community. AND the Guerneville Safeway is the worst I've ever shopped. Cramped, understaffed, overpriced. Please FIX IT NOW!
It's ludicrous that such an important staple of our community is designed only to benefit the tourists who visit the area. The locals who make the place worth visiting are deserving of a store that is of equal standards as others in the county as well as sufficient service from workers who are paid well, valued and treated with respect
The year-round population of this area grows each year. This store serves not just Guerneville, but rural areas all the way to the coast. Staff this store appropriately. This situation is especially appalling considering this Safeway is supposedly the most profitable in Sonoma county.
as a local resident who only drives but maybe once or twice a week, I rely on Safeway 2 get my day to day thingseach week. I have noticed long lines after 3:30 p.m. Everyday and especially heavy on the weekends. This Safeway needs to have more staffing. We are not a seasonal community. We are a year round 100%environment that needs a grocery store that willaccommodate the huge community that it serves.I suggest closing 3 to 5 hours instead of limiting the staff in the peak hours. There is no need to be open 24 hours in my opinion.

The Safeway in Guerneville is the primary food store for people in a large geographic area, who live there year round and have children in the regional schools. This store needs to serve its 12 month a year community every day.
