The funding has been officially restored and our libraries are safe. I am honestly stunned by what you all achieved together because this victory belongs entirely to the thousands of people who refused to stay quiet. Let us keep an eye on things moving forward to ensure our libraries stay …

Libraries are essential to Texas. We believe that Texas cannot thrive without strong libraries. The proposed state cuts to library programs will vastly diminish the educational and economic infrastructure of our state. Eliminating state funding for our libraries is not a viable approach to creating jobs and an educated workforce. We urge all Texas legislators to reinstate funding for statewide library programs. We need our libraries and ask for your leadership in maintaining this irreplaceable Texas treasure.

Seeing the count climb toward one thousand signatures leaves me truly speechless. This momentum belongs entirely to you and I am just humbled to be watching it happen. Please keep pushing this forward so we can show the legislators exactly how many people value our libraries.

RIDICULOUS to cut funding. Libraries are the only place some people have free internet to apply for jobs.

My kids use the library every weekend for reading programs. This would be a huge loss for our town.

I grew up at the library. It changed my life. Keep it funded.
