We, the undersigned, most strongly condemn the massacre of more than 44 Afrikan Mine-Workers and the injury of many more by the police force of the South Afrikan neo-colonial state, using sub-machine guns on 16th August 2012. Those shot down posed no immediate danger to the police. The shooting was an act of state terror carried out on behalf of the British multinational, Lonmim, a company determined to exploit Afrikan resources and labour while paying starvation wages and using mass sackings and state terror to secure production and its super profits. We support Afrikan Mine-Workers in the quest to repossess what is rightfully theirs by nationalisation and other means.
