Recently, the Canadian national and provincial chiropractic associations have been posturing chiropractic as musculoskeletal (MSK) experts and ignoring the neurological affects. We find this change to be a profound and significant shift away from something that has defined our profession for nearly 120+ years. Whether a chiropractor is pain based or wellness based, the neurological affects of chiropractic are relevant. We do not support this recent approach of the professional associations and respectfully ask that they return to neuromusculoskeletal (NMSK) terminology in their future interactions with chiropractors, medical doctors, government officials and the public at large
