The Release of Van Helsing's Deleted Scenes
Many fans of "Van Helsing" have been willing and eager to buy several editions of the film (The London Assignment included) just to gain access to short behind the scenes featurettes. But, no matter how much we delve into the world of the film, we find ourselves wanting more. Many have long pursued certain deleted scenes, scenes shown briefly in behind the scenes footage and mentioned in the screenplay of the film. I feel that a special edition DVD including these deleted scenes, perhaps for the film's ten year anniversary in 2014, would be a highly profitable and greatly appreciated gift to the devoted fans who have waited years to see these lost segments of the film. There is a short clip on "The London Assignment" that clearly shows Aleera at the masquerade ball- in what seems to be its final edited form. Another clip shown is the brides' rooftop discussion, and Verona's "Never trust a man to do a woman's job," line. We, the fans, would like these scenes to be publicly released and would be willing to pay to get them.
