FUTURE OF THE MOVEMENT CENTRE
HELP..HELP...HELP... Today I received a letter concerning the Future of the Movement Centre, where my daughter, Molly attends. Molly has cerebral palsy and the Movement Centre has helped her immensely in many ways. Not only with her physical movement but her confidence has blossomed too. The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Hospital Trust have requested that The Movement Centre moves out of its current accommodation. You are probably aware that The Movement Centre is an independent charity and not part of the Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Hospital Trust. It is our understanding that the building is to be demolished and we have been told that there is no space available for The Movement Centre on the main hospital site and that we should find alternative accommodation. TMC has been here since it was established 13 years ago. Needless to say, this is a very distressing situation as we have no immediate alternative. The TMC would like to remain on the site of the RJAH Hospital Trust since this enables us to provide the most efficient service for the children in our care. Obviously this is very distressing news, the centre has and will continue to help our children, and we must now help them. We feel that a petition is the only way to get our voice heard. Sadly time is limited to do this. Please join friend of the movement centre on facebook or contact us on friends.of.the.movement.centre@googlemail.com Thank you.
