I have a friend, who stood up for herself in Junior School: An African american guy was making fun of her saying "you can't sit with us because you're ginger,and ginger are discussing, gingers have no souls". So she turns round to him and says "well, what if I said you're black, you have no soul, you're discussing, I don't want to sit with you". She got suspended from school, and that was only after her mum called the school and asked them not to expel her, he got away without any punishment. I pose the question why is it fair that redheads get bullied to the extent of exclusion and physical abuse and yet no one does anything about it? Not teaches, not parents and not society. I pose that "gingerism" gets recognized as a form of racism and is taught as being wrong along side other forms of discrimination. Redheads my put on a brave face and laugh about it, but this should be social and morally unacceptable and it can not go on any longer. This is the 21st century! Names like Ginger Mhinger or tampon head are grossly inappropriate and I personally this that this should not be aloud to go on any longer.
