Together we are better
Having Dani Thomas and Chinou Vue in the program has been essential to all of our learning experiences. Dani's ability to connect with and appreciate the unique beauty of every person has brought our cohort together. Dani would make a great nurse because of the experience she holds, the personality she possesses, and her drive. Chinou's humble and even-tempered demeanor helps to bring a calm to stressful atmospheres as they arise. Chinou can get along with everybody. He is very positive all the time and is such an asset to every team because of how he facilitates communication. Both of them are very hard working, easy to get along with, and have a humor that brings a light to dark or stressful days. It is because of all of us experiencing this journey of nursing school together, that we have made it to where we are today.
Many of us who have studied with Chinou have benefited greatly first hand from his knowledge and understanding of the complex concepts that we are learning. He has shared his time to help us understand and remember the convoluted information for both Med/Surg as well as Families in Transition. Dani's sharing of her past professional experiences has provided us all with real life examples to reenforce the material that we are learning.
We would take both of them on our team in a heartbeat. They both care deeply about people and are passionate about patient care and well-being. It is difficult to measure the quality of a nurse solely with numbers. How can a grade assess the impact that they are able to make on people's lives? They deserve the chance to continue to be a part of our team.
They both fill vital roles within our cohort, helping to make each and every one of us stronger as we develop into nurses who will impact the lives of countless patients and their families. We, the undersigned, petition the School of Nursing to offer an opportunity for these two great students to continue on with us.
