True High Speed Internet - Suddenlink
I am a resident of Light Farms community in Celina, TX which resides adjacent to Prosper, TX and neighborhoods less than 1/8 of a mile away that have true high speed Internet from Suddenlink.
Current our neighborhood is serviced by AT&T U-verse and we have speeds up to 18Mbps. They charge a small fortune of $63/month including equipment rental.
Suddenlink advertises speeds up to 150Mpbs in some areas and are working on speeds up to 1,024Mbps. They need a little convincing to extend their services to our neighborhood. There are no laws restricting this expansion according to our developer and HOA.
This is an email I received from the Light Farms HOA, "I spoke with the Light Farms Project Manager and have been told that there is not an exclusive arrangement with AT&T Uverse. He also told me that in some locations both GCEC and Sudden Link have installed some equipment. He told me that there are projects by other developers in the vicinity that may prompt some additional installations."
Just because we live in the edge of the country, doesn't mean we need to live with suboptimal Internet. Please sign this petition and I will make sure Suddenlink extends their services to our neighborhood.
