Truro Cornwall Mast Action Group St Clements Hill
Dear Reader RE: Installation of Vodafone Mast at St Clement's Hill, Truro As you may be aware the Vodafone appeal was granted and overturned Carrick District Council objection to a 12m high mast (supporting three antennas, 1 dish and associated equipment cabinets) to be situated on the highways verge by Truro Rugby Club. We would consider this location to be a sensitive site. St Clements is surrounded by a densely populated area of residential properties, several schools, pre-school care providers, and the newly built Children Centre which is less than 50 metres away. A local Nursery has 80 children on its roll: their play area is on the very edge of the site. Tregolls School has recently opened a Childrens centre and Truro Rugby Club holds training and matches for up to 400 children and runs a weekly mother and toddler group. Perceived health concerns related to masts create anxiety levels that are in themselves unhealthy and detrimental to the well-being of the local community. Therefore, the presence of a mast would be a constant reminder reinforcing the fear of health issue. Please help support us and register on our petition. Any comments most welcome.
