The board finally reached out to confirm they are sending the letter to the governor. I am exhausted from this fight but the relief for our families makes the struggle worth it. Keep checking in because we still have to ensure they follow through on their word.

Please consider signing our petition to Unmask Montville's children for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year. We cannot continue to force our children to wear masks, while adults are allowed to take them off. Our children are suffering physically and mentally.

We do realize the Montville Board of Ed does not make the laws and has to follow what is sent down by the NJ Dept of Education and Governor Murphy. However at the same token, many districts have sent a letter to the governor expressing the desire to make the mandate optional and letting each parent decide and we are asking for the same to represent the growing parental concerns on this matter.

We hereby request our Board of Education and Superintendent, Rene Rovtar to send a letter Governor Phil Murphy, asking him to pull back the mandatory mask mandate for the fall and to make it optional based on each parents preference.

Reaching this point has been an exhausting uphill climb but seeing the momentum grow confirms that I am not alone in this fight. This progress is heavy and hard won yet it gives me the resolve to keep pushing forward until we get the answers our children need.

No need for a mask while sitting behind a desk shield spaced out from the same kids they play sports with 5 days a week.

Take the masks off the kids! They are the least effected age group for covid and enough is enough already. The mandate has been lifted all over the country and kids attending school since September with no masks and yet here we are

Pre-school children should NOT be mandated to wear masks all day. This is child abuse and although the “experts” say there are no negative effects, I don’t want my child to be their guinea pig!

Parents should have the right to make decisions for their children. Stop the insanity and make masks optional!

Our children need to be mask optional for both their emotional and physical well being. It’s time to provide them with the option

Let kids thrive and communicate without the barrier of a mask! They are low risk for covid but high risk for the mental and emotional trauma this causes.

There are 1.9 million NJ residents under the age of 18. Eight of them have died from Covid. They are resilient. They should not be required to wear masks and get vaccinations!
