The current state of Builth Wells Childrens playarea situated in the Groe is completley unacceptable. It is in need of a major overhaul so that it is a place that parents actually want to tanke their children. Currently the grass has not been cut for months resulting in the height being over most childrens shoes/wellies. The helter skelter is vandallised not to mention dirty and ends in a big mud puddle making it useless. There are broken rides and the general state is in need of a major change. Dog mess has also had to be removed from the area on numerous occasions. It is obviously designed to only be a hot summers day park. Added to this when you compare it Llandrindod Wells lakeside park and also Llanelwedd's crescent park it is even more disgraceful that Builth should have such a bad playarea.

I purpose that the park be redisgned creating an all weather surface that is safe for children and an update of the rides enclosed to create a safe and usable playarea for the residents of Builth Wells.
