On March 6, Columbia University President Lee C. Bollinger delivered a statement before the Senate Plenary condemning antisemtism at Columbia. "I plead with everyone on our campus to be careful and vigilant against legitimate debate turning into anger, then to hatred and demonization, and invidious discrimination," said President Bollinger.

Unfortunately, antisemites on Columbia University's faculty prove that words are not enough. We urge President Bollinger to follow up his words with actions. Specifically,

1) Adopt IHRA definition of antisemitism as encouraged by Natan Sharansky. This is not a controversial step as a number of schools have adopted IHRA definition already. After adoption ensure that the definition is applied when evaluating whether any event or statement were antisemitic and, if found so, act as one would act against racism, homophobia or misogyny.

2) Set up a special committee to fully investigate all claims of Zionophobic (i.e. antisemitic, anti-Zionist and anti-Israel) harassment.

3) Discipline, as per Columbia's Rules of Conduct, all those responsible for disruptions of pro-Israel events, de-platforming of pro-Israel speakers and harassing physically and verbally Jewish and pro-Israel students.

4) Revoke authorization from all clubs that engage in ostracism of Jewish and pro-Israel students and require students to declare themselves as anti-Zionist in order to participate in other clubs and causes.
