Dear Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr Anwar ul Haq Kakar and Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi

We, the undersigned, are deeply concerned about the recent violent incidents in Jaranwala, Pakistan, which have resulted in the destruction of over 100 homes and the displacement of thousands of innocent Christians. Learn more (here).

The allegations of blasphemy that triggered these acts of violence have left a profound impact on the Christian community and the overall peace within the region. Learn more (here).

We are also deeply concerned about the recent violent incidents in Manipur, India, which have resulted in at least 250 deaths and tens of thousands of Christians being internally displaced. Learn more (here).

The safety and well-being of all citizens are of paramount importance, and we believe that immediate steps need to be taken to address this distressing situation. Learn more (here).

We urge the relevant authorities to:

1. Investigate Thoroughly: Conduct a transparent and thorough investigation into the allegations and incidents, ensuring justice is served and the truth is revealed.

2. Ensure Safety: Implement stringent measures to ensure the safety and protection of all citizens, regardless of their faith, in Jaranwala/Manipur and their surrounding areas.

3. Foster Harmony: Promote interfaith dialogue and understanding to prevent such incidents in the future and to build a harmonious society where diversity is respected and celebrated.

We stand united in our call for swift and effective action to restore peace, rebuild lives, and create an environment where every individual's rights are upheld and their safety is guaranteed.

This petition will be sent directly to the Prime Minister of Pakistan/Prime Minister of India and will be submitted by hand to the High Commissioner for Pakistan/India in the UK. A copy will also be sent to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak calling for Dialogue with both nations. We call for signatories from concerned people around the globe.
