The bid is cancelled and we finally have the accountability we fought for. It has been a long and draining road but I am relieved that our future was not sold off for an event we never asked to host. We need to stay watchful to ensure the promised funds …
Isn\'t it fair that the people of British Columbia decide if they should bid for the 2010 winter olympics! The full details (which will be provided in the Bid Book to be presented to the IOC.)are not currently being provided to the general public for discussion. Elsewhere services to the people of BC are being cut, the government finances are in deficit, should we not be supporting our services, and not an expensive olympic bid.
The path forward feels exhausting when officials keep hiding the facts from us. We are approaching one hundred signatures and I need you to help push this over the line so our frustration becomes impossible for them to ignore.

Total waste of money. We have schools and hospitals falling apart but they want to host a party for the world. Fix our roads first.

Why is this all so secret?? If it is such a great idea then show us the numbers. Stop hiding the bid book.
