With our economy struggling and our dependence on foreign oil increasing, America needs a new source of energy, one that will bring thousands of new jobs and establish its own manufacturing sector. Wind Energy can accomplish this. New jobs that wind energy will bring to America means that other sectors that are struggling such as banking, retail, trucking etc. will become stimulated through a massive investment in wind energy. Small municipalities that are constantly asking for federal financial assistance will have the opportunity to generate revenue, via the sale of wind generated electricity. In 2007 the emission from greenhouse gas (GHG), were 7,282 million metric tons carbon dioxide equivalent (MMTCO2e) in the United States. This represents a 1.4 percent increase in the levels recorded in 2006, according to a report issued by the Energy Information Administration titled, Emissions of Greenhouse Gases in the United States 2007. I for one could not imagine, going to my sons or daughters sporting events amongst conditions similar to those in China.
