Israelis Vote from Around the Globe
We, the Israelis undersigned below, are urging the legislative branch
of the state of Israel to revise the current Voting Law and provide a
reasonable way for every person who is a legal Israeli citizen the
opportunity to vote in the Israeli general elections regardless of the
person's location on election day. The revised section of the Voting
Law would apply to:
1. All Israeli citizens who permanently live in Israel but who happen to be outside the country on election day.
2. Israeli citizens who live abroad.
The current law entitles us, the citizens of Israel, to vote regardless of where we are
but at the same time requires us to be physically present in Israel on
election day which creates a major obstacle in the ability to exercise
our civic duty.
