HFCA members were lead to believe forming a Municipality could procure grant money for our dam and flood control, estimated cost $29,000,000 and $40,000,000. HFCA Consultant stated it is unlikely to get grant money. Th Authority, on its own could assess each HFCA property owner, without limitation or further action for the entire cost.

Therefore: As a member of the governing body and voting member of the Hemlock Farms Community Association, (HFCA) Lords Valley, PA. I petition the HFCA Board to stop and table the procedure of forming a Municipality/Authority without the approval of the HFCA membership by a ballot vote.

Updates

I just woke up and saw the notification and honestly my head is spinning because I never expected this to pick up so much speed so quickly. It feels like people are finally realizing the absolute mess we might be walking into with these costs and honestly that support makes the stress of watching the board meetings a little more bearable.

Maybe I've read the propaganda from the Q & A put out by the board or whomever, but they want to borrow the amount in one lump sum for a cheaper interest rate when they say they don't have any clue as to the final cost of the project - it is still pending. And how are the other communities comparable to Hemlock Farms handling this mandate from the corrupt EPA?

If this was so urgent....why didn't you spend the money on this project rather then buying rite aid property, lemp building etc.

we need the membership to vote on such an important matter.. How can this happen? It's time we take back our community. I am outraged. July the snow birds are back.. Vote then...what deception, writing about Millions of grant monies being available to us...

I signed this petition twice because I was told I can if I own two properties.

A matter of this importance should require a vote.
