Seeing this level of support for the river reminds me why I spend my weekends clearing debris from the banks. These trails were a sanctuary when I needed them most and your response proves that our community recognizes just how vital this work remains for all of us.

8500 pounds is nothing to the council but everything to the river. STOP CUTTING THE BUDGET!!!!
The Water of Leith is the best part of the city. Keep the funding, it barely costs anything compared to the mess we will be left with otherwise.
total madness. they do a better job than the guys in high vis jackets half the time.
my kids love seeing the swans and ducks there. dont take away the only nice nature spot we have left in the middle of town
Please dont do this. I walk the path every single day with my dog and its kept so nice by the trust. You would destroy that.

Ridiculous decision. These people do all the hard work keeping the river clean while the council just sits on their hands.
