We the undersigned wish to express our deep disappointment in the State's MTA bailout package. The new payroll tax and other charges demonstrate that once again the business community and others bear the weight of the fiscal irresponsibility on the part of the State Legislature and the MTA. This new blow further threatens to drive more businesses out of the state when New York can least afford it, and it virtually ensures that the state will remain as the "least-friendly" business state in the nation. We call on our State Legislators to take action against future punitive measures against the business community. We know that the budget will have to be revisited, and we do not want the legislators coming back to the business community and other with their hands out.
