Our mission is to provide an economic stimulus to East Fort Worth by providing water and land stewardship that targets arts, recreation, and science, while preserving the beauty of Lake Arlington and celebrating our diverse community.

In Spring of 2011, the Living Waters Park project began in an effort to increase access to the land in order to improve its impact on the economy and diversify the community. Additionally, it was the hope of our founder, Hazel Wiltz, to develop the land so that it becomes self-sustaining through arts, recreation, and science. With the help of David Hopman from the University of Texas at Arlington, a plan was developed to create jobs, maintain green space, support water sports, and create private waterfront event space. Bringing diverse cultures and families together Living Waters Park will be a place that celebrates and encourages growth for both people and nature in an effort to become an economic, social, and ecological global model.

Living Waters Park will have an eight bedroom lodge, amphitheater, rain chapel, pavilion, children’s discovery woods, sports court. Plans also include a 40-slip marina with a yacht club and bait/tackle shop. It will manage three types of capital, economic, social Kayaking, fishing are a few more of the amenities. Through Living Waters Park, a nonprofit organization, economic value is added by eco-efficiency in the delivery of competitively priced goods and services that satisfy human needs and bring quality of life, while progressively reducing ecological impacts and resource intensity. It will seek positive social impacts through corporate donations and the creation of employment. Your support and interest will witness to and attract the corporate interest for their placement of community funds. Let’s establish Living Waters Park, by and for the community!
