Dignity for Dottie
Many Rancho Santa Fe members were shocked and saddened to hear that Dottie, our friend and favorite bartender for the last 17 years, was recently fired. A few of us have heard her side of the story, but due to legalities, the board is understandably reluctant to comment. After as thorough of an investigation as possible, many questions remain unanswered.
Like all of us, she may have had her shortcomings, but they were far outweighed by her loyalty, sense of humor, colorful personality and energy. Dottie has been more than just an employee: she has been part of our RSF family and should leave with the respect and dignity she has earned over the years.
Therefore, we, as concerned Rancho Santa Fe residents, would like to respectfully request that the RSF Association and RSF Golf Board undertake the following steps:
1. Not oppose her application for unemployment.
2. Write her a letter of recommendation so she can get another job.
3. Write her a letter of appreciation thanking her for 17 years of valuable service to the RSF Golf Club.
4. Provide her with severance pay.
