Petition against the cost of weavers Academy's new school uniform. It is too expensive, at a cost of £18.50 for skirt and £17 for a pair of trousers. Parents would like the right to chose where they buy there children's uniform from at a cost they can afford.

im hearing from so many of you about how hard these costs hit at the end of the month. im putting together all these stories to show the school why we need a change because nobody should be priced out of their own uniform.

Not happy as had already bought some new trousers for September and the logo ones are too expensive, and how long will it take before your order arrives if your child has a growth spurt and needs some new ones ASAP.

Absolutely ridiculous, should be allowed to buy where you can afford to buy. 2x2 trousers for 1 child £37. At least twice per term £74. X4 terms =£296 per child. Asda Black trousers around £8 wake up and do the math. Surely it is not law. Just little people who think they are God.

No parental consultation at all! This will cost families unnecessary added expense and put those who already struggle to buy uniform further pressure and stress. There is no link between learning and logos on uniform!!!

As far as uniform goes, kids grow and they wear it out and most of the time, getting them from another source is a lot cheaper and probably better wearing than the schools choice. If it’s about a logo, then sell the badges for parents to iron or sew on themselves.

Recently my son has came home with paint all over his blazer that won’t wash out from his art lessons. Twice this has happened this year alone. I can’t afford to keep replacing it because ‘there’s no space to hang the blazer’. Now it’s trousers!

The uniform is way too expensive! I have 2 children in weavers, and next September, my other 2 will be attending! I don’t know how I will be able to afford these costs!! You don’t think about single parent families who struggle every single day without the added pressure of extra costs!!

So poor from the school - not even involving the parents or children in the decision and just springing it upon them - disgrace

we had no say in whether or not we wanted this nor were the parents consulted on any decisions, this was shoved in all of our faces which is honestly really unfair.
