Township of Wellesley Official Plan 6.12.1.4 The Township will encourage the development of a system of linked green space, open space and trails throughout the township relying on existing parklands, watercourses, utilities corridors, conservation areas, schools and the co-operation of private landowners. 6.12.1.6 The Township will encourage the development of a system of bicycle routes and pedestrian paths to link major public open space, schools and activity centres, and to provide for recreational needs of Township residents in accordance with Section 6.8.8 of this Plan.

Wellesley Township officials keep ignoring their own official plan while our community grows tired of waiting for these basic trails. This massive wave of support proves that we are no longer willing to let them drag their feet on promised infrastructure.

Yes please. We need more places to walk the dog and let the kids burn off energy, especially near Schweitzer.
It is about time. The current set up is dangerous for kids trying to walk anywhere near the main roads. build the trails!!
FINALLY. been waiting for this for years. my kids would love to bike to school instead of being driven.
Great idea. It makes the town way more accessible and honestly it just looks better than an empty corridor.
hope this happens. trails bring people together.

please get this done. wellesley is beautiful and we should be able to walk more of it.
