Motspur Park Mums and Minders are campaigning to widen the dangerously narrow stretch of pavement on Burlington Road near the Tesco exit. The path is barely wide enough for two people to pass safely and the area is very busy due to its proximity to 4 schools and to a Tesco Extra. This means that all pedestrians particularly school children, the elderly and the disabled are being put in danger.

Merton Council have confirmed that the area is in the plan for assessment and possible improvement. Please support our campaign so that we can turn a “possible” improvement in to a real change for the good of the community before a terrible accident occurs.
