We, the parents of Woodbine Avenue School # 23 vehemently oppose your placement of Dr. John Crowe to Woodbridge Middle School. We feel that it is an unconscionable act to remove such impeccable leadership from our school, mid-year, especially in light of the upcoming PARCC testing. If you, as a body, go through with this change, we fear that our students and staff will go through another unnecessary period of transition; at a most inopportune time. Over the last five years we have seen four principals come through what we feel is a revolving door to our school. We, as parents, want the best possible education for our children. Dr. John Crowe, and his exemplary and compassionate leadership, ensure that we will get it. His commitment to excellence is emulated by both students and staff, and we cannot think of a better role model for both our sons, and our daughters. We find it highly unlikely that there is no other worthy candidate for the Woodbridge Middle School position in the entire district.
The administration has acknowledged the volume of signatures and requested a formal meeting to discuss current leadership at the school. I am finalizing a brief to present our specific concerns regarding the mid-year transition schedule.

Change and promotions are good but our children only deserve the best. Why make changes during mid year when our children need all the support and tools to grow and learn. At least let Dr. Crowe finish the school year for the best interest of all.

Dr. Crow has turned Woodbine Ave into s nice place to work. He is fair, respectful and will listen to the Aides when we have suggestion to make our jobs run smooth. He is a excellent principal and to take him from us at this point will be devasting to the children and me. Thank you!

This is the second time a principal has been transferred from my daughters school and she is only in second grade! The students have built a bond with Dr. Crowe and she was actually very upset to hear that he may leave. We can't have our students feel like everytime they feel comfortable with an important figure in their second home then they will just be replaced! Keep our principal where he belongs!

I find this truly irresponsible in transferring Dr. Crowe mid-year and very inconsiderate to all the students at Woodbine

Wow! I didn't know. Dr. Crowe is a wonderful principal my 2 children need a person like him to finish their first year of school. They always come home with great things to say about Dr. Crowe which make me feel more assured that they're in great hands when I'm not around.

Yes, Dr. Crowe should not be transferred in the middle of the year and be allowed to complete the full year in the best interests of our sons, and our daughters.
