This petition is seeking support for 16:10 PC monitors, when used by the Xbox 360 via VGA. LCD monitors are an affordable alternative to HDTVs, and a great way for 360 gamers to experience up to a 1080p experience through the VGA cable. The problem is, all the widescreen resolution options are for 16:9 displays. Widescreen computer monitors are 16:10. This causes all the games, along with DVD and HD-DVD playback, to be slightly stretched thin. This petiton requests Microsoft to add resolution options that would have small black bars on the top and bottom of the display, keeping games at 16:9 on a 16:10 display. Even better would be having these 16:10 running at the native resolutions these monitors are commonly found (such as 1440 x 900 and 1680 x 1050.
