We the undersigned have all had the pleasure of working at CTY's summer programs. We have found the experience enlightening and enlivening. Our students regularly surprise us with their drive, aptitude and commitment to learning. Our peers and administrators challenge us to become better teachers and thinkers. The community that has been created here over the years is inclusive, supportive and ideally suited for both academic growth and personal fulfillment. Many of us have been returning to teach at CTY for many years, leaving our schools, partners and careers for 6 weeks at a time for the chance to work in such a wonderful environment. By signing this petition, we are expressing our deep interest in finding a way to make CTY a year round experience. We think that CTY would have no problem finding talented administrators and teachers to staff a year round school and would have plenty of excellent students wanting to enroll.
