The Iraqi journalist who threw his shoes at George W Bush has been jailed for THREE YEARS! This is three years imprisonment for throwing two shoes that did not even strike Bush! Dhiaa al-Saadi, the head of Zaidi's defence team, said: "This sentence is harsh and is not in harmony with the law, and eventually the defence team will contest this in the appeals court." Zaidi's sister Ruqaiya burst into tears at the verdict and shouted "Down with Maliki, the agent of the Americans," referring to Iraq's Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki. Zaidi's brother, Uday, said the verdict was politically motivated. On the other hand, the student who hurled his shoe at Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao at Cambridge University faces six months in prison as a maximum term.
